Although the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has not yet officially declared the winner, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, presidential candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has already conceded defeat and congratulated John Mahama, the President-elect, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their decisive victory.
